- Matt BrayDecember 8, 2017Great to find a legit cocktail bar in Taiwan. Opens earlier than most, and coming early gives you more time to talk about what to make. Bartender is up to date on latest drinks and classics.
- Brad TApril 29, 2015Taipei's first true speakeasy and you can't go wrong. Everything is 'off menu' so sit back, pick your spirit and drink in the magic.
- 高手놀리밑™July 21, 2016Cool cocktail bar that's Very discretely hidden behind the cafe speakeasy style. There is no menu, just tell them what sort of drink you would like and they will make it for you.
- Kim PhamApril 19, 2016Proper NY-style cocktails. There's no menu, just chat with the bartenders and they'll whip up something perfect for you!
- Jackson TsaiNovember 9, 2014Very discrete bar located inside a hidden door in a cafe, it's a speakeasy bar with few rules but all the cocktail mixes are great and unique, make sure to make a reservation before heading there!
- Renee TAugust 10, 2014Fantastic bar & bartender. Extensive collection of whiskies & other ingredients. Great atmosphere, super friendly. The location is fronted by Relax cafe. Dark hardwood, dim lights. Closed on Sunday.
- Kevin WolkoberJune 24, 2016Inspired by NYC bars PDT and Angel's Share, Ounce matched and exceeded some of my previous experiences at these places. The rye-based drinks I had here were top-notch, including their Old-Fashioned.
- AnnaJanuary 10, 2015"Ounce is a mood bar, which means your drinks are carefully crafted to your liking." Attentive service, great cocktails. When you leave the place, you feel happy and renewed. Mood bar, indeed❤️
- EddNovember 1, 2019The drinks are just half the appeal. The other half is the entertainment value courtesy of resident experts, who are bilingual in cocktail speak. Ask for their fav drink or something sweet&savoury
- Josh AOctober 2, 2015Awesome speakeasy bar hidden in a coffee shop. No menu, drinks made to order based on your likes. Wide array of liquor and mixers. Cool staff.
- Jerome IbanezNovember 28, 2019This place has no menu. They do your typical cocktails but I'd suggest that you try and be creative with what you want. Must try: Daylight Savings (an original by Ounce)
- Nick OberJuly 14, 2018Awesome vibe with amazing cocktails! Just describe what you’re in the mood for to the bar tending team here and you’ll be in good hands.
- Steven EatonSeptember 9, 2014You may have trouble finding it, but you'll have an incredible cocktail experience once you do.
- Jon PriceMarch 3, 2015American prohibition style speakeasy hidden behind a cafe. let your bartender make you a drink with your favorite spirit.
- pauline changNovember 5, 2014Awesome cocktail bar. Speakeasy. Have the bartender whip you up a custom drink depending on your tastes!
- joanneSeptember 3, 2013Ounce has revived my obsession with scotch-based cocktails. They also stock Fernet and absinthe from my hometown, so why would I ever leave?
- No reservations taken and it's usually full on weekends. Be prepared to wait in the cafe outside for a seat as there's no standing room inside.
- EricAugust 4, 2016Cozy enough for some good conversations. Always a good idea to make friends with the drunkards outside.
- simon sMay 2, 2015A mixed bag. The drinks are good and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly but the "secret" door and long waits are a bit silly. They should just open a bigger place.
- Trevor FilterJanuary 7, 2014Quoth the bartender: "If you are looking for something Taiwanese, you are in the wrong place—we aim to recreate the *American* bar in Taiwan." Hits the mark.
- Chris LintottOctober 30, 2013Excellent classic cocktails served off-menu. Not authentic, or local, but who cares?
- Matt Ta-MinMarch 14, 2015Cocktails on the inside may be excellent but the drinks on the outside are a but lame. Selection of beers are good, but the caramel tea was weak as water.
- Chloe HSeptember 23, 2015If you're from New York, don't bother going here, same as a NYC cocktail bar. $440NTD for a drink in Taiwan is outrageous!
- The best and first legit speakeasy in Taipei/Taiwan.
- Tom SchoutedenNovember 11, 2013"I don't do champagne drinks. Don't get me wrong but I think you should use prosecco." - French bartender at Ounce

Not too crowded, not too hard to get into, and drinks were good. As for what to order, sit at the bar, ask for something burning, and enjoy! You won't regret it :)
- Pretentious staff (even by NYC standards...), but at least the bespoke drinks are good.
