The first UNESCO World Heritage List from 1978 year had only 12 the most valuable objects from around the world. One of them was Krakow - the Old City, the Royal Wawel Castle and jewish Kazimierz.
Please do buy the audio tour. You get a lot of great information which you would otherwise not have, as most signs are limited in information or not in English.
Cozy national Jewish area in old Krakow where Spielberg's "Shindler's List" was filmed. Nice small shops, tasty food and lots of narrow pathways to walk
The mine is hundreds of metres deep. If you do the tour, you go 135m underground... All by stairs. Not for the old or faint hearted. You return by a miners lift that goes 3 metres a second though.
