Javier QuinteroDecember 30, 2018The airport is old, confusing and dirty. Information on screens is incomplete and inaccurate so you need to ask about your flight on a counter and they make you make a line for that. Be prepared!
Amy MarAugust 16, 2013The Internet username is starbucks@infinitummovil and the password is mocha12. I don't know how often they change it but I think every store gives you a different user and pass if you buy something.
This airport is a messy disaster. Overcrowded, with long queues everywhere… The biggest chaos is on the arrival side. Connections are a nightmare. Definitely to be avoid as a transit airport!
Pierre VerdonAugust 12, 2013Huge airport. Numerous place to plug in your computer/smartphone. One more thing: you can find some free wifi connections (international and national departures).
Always busy... watch your luggage at all times, watch yourself for any golf cars around... visit the VIP lounges... best service ever!
If you need a massage, go to the 2nd floor in Terminal 1 (close to the Telcel Service Desk and the Post Office) :)
Brian StraussMarch 15, 2019Hey, not bad! Close to downtown and lacking the hordes of resort and timeshare sales people that greet you emerging from customs at many Mexico resort city airports. Tons of shopping but no good food.

Take the metro to the city-center from Terminal 1 for only 5 pesos!
Daniel RoyJanuary 25, 2015Of you're coming from a domestic flight to an international one or vice versa, be aware you may have to change terminals. Train between terminals is free with itinerary.
God help you if you're flying in from south America to terminal 1. It will take you 1 to 2 hours to get your luggage. They also make you use a baggage porter.

- Make sure you do put your liquids in a ziplock bag. After healthrow its one of the most stringent security at airports I've see lately
Any flight connection requires to collect your luggage and go by the customs.
jonas mSeptember 17, 2013Beautiful airport. Fast service at the sports bar. No internet kiosks so use your brief free internet (log in as a guest) wisely.
Be prepared for long lines at check-in if you don't have preferred status, but the security lines are generally very fast. The lounges are also very good.
There are 2 ways to access the national gates in terminal 1. The fastest is on the second floor of the zone marked as "A".
Security waits are not usually very long. Lots of self-checkin points. Lots of shops and restaurants. It's a LONG airport!
Cesar RamirezDecember 13, 2014for connecting flights avoid the Iine, get out of and go straight to the second floor. Keep clothes at hand. Some bags are Delayed up to a week.

Minus the dirty bathroom, this was one of the better airport experiences I've had.. people moved through baggage claim and immigrations fast enough and the security is much friendlier then in the USA.
The tram between terminals requires a boarding pass to get on. Stupid if you are connecting between flights on different carriers. I had to bluff my way through.
Taba bar in gate area M has free wifi - just make sure to ask the English-speaking manager for the password!
DO NOT lose or throw away your immigration card that you get when you arrive. You will need it to leave the country!!!!

Customs lines can be super long, as can taxi lines. Skip the latter via Uber, but head to Puerta 1 if you're in T2 to avoid a chaotic search for your driver.

7eleven's coffee is the same as Starbucks but with better price :-). And, who will care if you have a cheaper coffee if no one knows you? Jeje

Christina LouiseNovember 6, 2019Terminal 1 (domestic arrivals) doesn’t allow you to be picked up by Uber from gates 1 or 2. Gate 3 is super crowded with everyone trying to see if their car has arrived.
Paula TurattoJanuary 19, 2014If you have a connection here, be prepared to run. The employees from the airport are no able to give you the right information and you might lose your flight.
Pay close attention to the monitors, gates change often and with little to no notice. Other than that, tacos are plentiful🙌
Don't forget your immigration card, or you'll spend 120mins running around trying to get a new one. What a fucking joke.
Less chaotic than you might think. Still best to arrive early for your flight.
This airport has a lot of options to eat, drink & have fun!
Despite the delays constantly happening it has lots of food options in good prices
Support Mexicana's team! Visit their cafeteria instead foreign brands!
TomaszAugust 19, 2011If you need to take a taxi from the airport, check prices in various stands - prices can vary by more than 100%. (!) The stands located further from airport gates tend to be cheaper.
Need a Taxi? Don't take the first option, walk a little to exit #10 and there are more options all at the same price.
