This airport has supposed to have won "best airport in Latin America" 2 years running: but they removed the Prodigy Infinitum Internet, the 3G and cel service is terrible. Terminals in DF are better.
Don't exchange money at the airport. Rate is much better at the cities or hotels. Also duty free is extremely expensive. Buy all Mexican staff at wallmart. Have a good trip!
They don't tell you much at security but you can keep your shoes on. But still take electronics out. They may do additional screening at the gates instead. Beware #
Small but convenient airport. The ADO direct coach service to downtown Cancún will save you time and money (£3, 30 minutes). Beware, there is no free wi-fi.
The worst airport in the world ! How can normal people meet friends or family that are arriving if they can't come to arrival zone. There is even no screen to see if the plane is landed.
don’t lose your little immigration paper slip they give you when you land or it costs $30 USD for a new one as you’re departing back home, with no working ATMs or credit cards permitted. supreme
If you have a hotel transfer booked, follow the instructions they give you. Do not believe someone if they say your ride didn't come. It's a scam, it'll cost you a ton!
The food options in the departure lounge are appalling. Unless you like greasy pizza and hamburgers, there is nothing for you here. Except I did find one place selling a green banana for $17 pesos!
Airports in other resort destinations should follow this model. Familiar chains + local faves make it easy for everyone. Continuous improvements to infrastructure ensure seamless check-in process too.
Bad!!Staff tried to book us in under someone elses name, girl at desk gave us separate seats at different ends of plane&stuck on plane for 1hr as electricity went off in terminal&they couldn't fix it!
