Ros Hodgekiss: An amazing, near-endless labyrinth of books, classic book merch, Portland souvenirs, books. Put aside at least 2 hours for this place, more if you're in the mood to drag a book into the cafe there.
Ros Hodgekiss: A cozy place to grab a great coffee. Do take-out and walk around the tree-lined backstreets, or park yourself at the front window to people-watch.

Ros Hodgekiss: If you're a retro game enthusiast, this is your Nirvana. Drinks are reasonable, however the food is kiddy party fare - c'mon, who really ate well in the 80's?
Ros Hodgekiss: The quieter of the two Voodoo Doughnut stores, but still comes with the same rockabilly vibe. Get your "Big Black Cock and Balls" to experience your body going into bliss, then violent revolt.
Ros Hodgekiss: Artisanal supermarkets can be a bit of a running gag, but you can't deny how good it is to leave a place with locally-made hummus and cheeses, paired with fresh focaccia.
Ros Hodgekiss: Friday soul nights here are where it's at. Go around the side and downstairs - $5 to get through the door, reasonable drink prices after that.
Ros Hodgekiss: There's something very Starship Enterprise about this place, albeit with sweeping views of downtown Portland and surrounds and solid cocktails. Great pick for a fancy night out.
Ros Hodgekiss: Get your ping-pong on here! Modern neighbourhood bar with so-so food, but they'll go out of their way to bring you a drink as you like it... And make sure you get your pong on.

Ros Hodgekiss: A blessing. The kitchen and bar is open until 2am, which is great as you'll be tempted to stay 'till late. Make sure you ask for take-out - the foil sculptures are a wonder to behold!

Ros Hodgekiss: Artsy, craftsy, pottery fun times. Som egood food options too and the occasional old-timey band. May seem a tad touristy, but who's gonna fight it?
Ros Hodgekiss: Amazing views of the city, especially at sunset. Happy hours are 4-6pm and 10pm - close, Tuesday to Thursday, then 11pm - close Friday and Saturday nights.
