Get out of town and see this - nature is Vegas' best attraction.
For a short trip, I recommend joining an early morning air tour to the West Rim. There are no barriers, no crazy crowds and the whole experience is very well organized by the local people.
Swing by early in the day for discounted tickets to evening shows. They offer solid savings on Cirque do Soleil, Penn and Teller and more - plus, the staff are very helpful!
If you've only seen the touring Cirque do Soleil shows, you will be blown away by how they've made use of their permanent space at the MGM Grand. Prepare to be awed!
Swap the buffet breakfast for healthier options here. Muesli aside, the build-your-own omelette and Cuban sandwiches really hit the spot.
'Aloha hour' from 4:30pm - 6:30pm is excellent value for drinks and appetizers. Service is exceptional.
The light show may be a bit hokey, but this is still a great place to hang out with the retro neon signs and a fun crowd at night.
Book ahead for tours and avoid trying to visit during a public holiday like we did - no dice.

Sure, it's in a casino, but they do huge cocktail pitchers and great Mexican food, all in a classy setting. Repeat, huge pitchers.
Go see Penn and Teller, or miss the best show there is. Meeting them after is a huge buzz, too!
Wifi, good coffee and delicious sandwiches - what's not to love? Plus, check out Emergency Arts upstairs. It's a great creative space.
Since the revamp, the poker machines have disappeared and now it's a spacious, chill lounge. Outside, there's a garden with an Airstream! Free wifi and both great food and drinks makes this a winner.
Best show to see on The Strip. Rude, hilarious, breathtaking and all-star freaky-deaky. Also, well-priced at $75 if you buy admission from Tix4Tonight.
