If you are interested in history (nazi-period), this is a must-visit place Near Potsdamer Platz, an impressive and informative exhibition, with a lot of documents and photo exhibited. Free entrace.
As a tourist spot, this is overrated. But good to visit once so that you can say that you have been here.
I spent almost 3 hours there. If you are interested in history of Berlin and Germany then you should not miss this place. There are guided tours to the nuclear shelter just under the building.
We all learned about the Holocaust in schools, but to visit a place like this first hand is one of the most emotional experiences of life. A must see. Never forget. Never let it happen again.

It's worth going to Neue Wache when it rains. The Kaethe Kollwitz sculpture is incredibly beautifully covered with raindrops and the stone shines, making the impression even more touching.
If you come middle of day the place is quite empty. You will have to suffer couple euros elevator fee.
My favorite museum in Berlin. If you want to learn about the holocaust in depth, this is much better than the Jewish or German history museums.
If you get the angle right, you can photograph the Tor with the Fernsehturm in between the columns.
A great place to visit of you are prepared. MUST book online in advance, worth to take the guided tour but also OK if you just visit the glass roof part. Do read some history prior to your visit.

Lovend the Goulasch. Homey restaurant with great food and the best beer in the world, Belgian beer (though the selection is limited they have some great ones).

Entrance is through the Jewish Girls' School (!) on Auguststraße, big wooden door. The pork & avocado sandwich is indeed great, and there's galleries to check out on the higher floors, too.

One of my favourite bars in Berlin, cozy atmosphere, fair prices, friendly staff and outdoor seating. Fav drinks are the Sloe Gin Sour, Whiskey Sour and Gin Fizz.

Don't go on Days with free entry. There is only one dance floor opened. Size of my bedroom. On Friday and Saturday great party! Check out the Labyrinth. Go a bit earlier, you'll have to queu for it.
Unbelievable! Outside area will make you think you have taken drugs even if you haven't. High quality sound and music. Food stand with quite a lot of different home-made stuff (yummy thaï soup!!).
