Behind the Lubyanka building you can find a prerevolutionary mansion hosting the State Museum of Mayakovsky. Mayakovsky was a legendary soviet poet famous for praising Soviet culture in his poems.
Take a right and walk through Novaya (New) Square where you will find Moscow Polytechnic museum.
A science museum representing technological achievements of Soviet and Russian science and technology (Mon-Sun, 10 am — 6 pm). Continue walking in the direction of Maroseyka St.
This area with its narrow side streets hides numerous restaurants and bars where you can dine and come back for a drink and dance later, like Propaganda (Пропаганда) or Solyanka (Солянка).
