Early October is the best time of year for whitewater rafting. A bit chilly, but the fall colors are breathtaking.
If you get too tired or hot, take a swim in the clear, cool waters of the Greenbrier. Watch for bears if you're hiking in the summer.
Bring your canoe/kayak, dock somewhere, and enjoy a nice swim, or fish right from your canoe.
Come during the Arts and Crafts Fair in July and enjoy excellent food, handmade crafts, and a lot of Appalachian charm.
Park in the lot across the lake and take a quiet hike around the lake. The best fishing spots are along the trail.
