Admire the former salons & suites, the stucco flower decorations of French Baroque-style staircase,original chandeliers & intarsia flooring of hall, the Venetian mirrors & Czech crystal chandeliers.

For a small fee, ascend to the balcony of the Basilica dome, offering some of the best views of the city. There is also Parliament House and nice walks in the streets of District V nearby.
The 170-meter façade of the building is decorated with columned balconies and allegorical statues of trade, transportation, and arts. Worth seeing the cast-iron columns of the inner courtyard too.
Worth seeing a show as much for the opera as to admire the ambience of the stunning architecture - both inside and out. Keep in mind tickets often sell out in advance.
