We had the beef noodle soup, pork buns (they were quite fatty... the way they meant to be) & steamed prawn dumplings. Everything was delicious! Wine gets served in a tumblr and beers in the bottle :)
The service is nice and friendly, lovely atmosphere. Spicy beef soup is ideal for rainy days or night outs (it's a spot on spicy seasoning, which is rare in London). Dumpling is so so.
The cold noodle salad was yummy, but everyone else's soup style dishes tasted solely of sesame oil. No depth of flavour. Disappointing! Side dishes yummy though
For the second time staff have been rude. At 2215 the bill was presented without asking, chairs placed on the tables around us & another group & we were asked to leave, having only arrived 1h before.
This restaurant would now be better used as a Deliveroo drovers waiting room. Providing takeout on mass has destroyed the dine in experience, poor service, slow food and a continuous stream of drivers
The quality of mama lan has really gone downhill in the last two years, meat used is of bad quality, noodle soup tasteless; westernized posh Chinese food not done well.
