🏝 Kona Brewing Co. named an IPA after this beach. It's absolutely delicious... It replicates & reproduces the beautiful clear blue waters and the white sands of this beach. I am in love and a fan 😘
Amazing but the surf gets big and in the winter the waves hit hard!! People get hurt here and there isn't a lifeguard! Beautiful one of my favorite beaches but respect it!
One of the most popular islandbeaches, great for photos of the incredibly clear blue water and white sand, surrounded by black lava. Come early for parking and bring sunscreen and a shade umbrella.
really good snorkeling on the rocks on the right side! Be careful for Sea Urchins as there are 3 or 4 different kinds out here. Also be aware of sharks. Saw a 4.5 foot reef shark. Gets down to 50 ft
Amazing crystal clear aqua blue beautiful water...lots of 20 and 30 something's and families with young children. So much fun!! Great body surfing/boogie boarding! Bring water shoes for the lava hikes
This beach isn't marked from the highway; from Queen Kaahumanu Highway turn where you see the sign for West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery (opposite side of the highway).
Come later in summer when school is starting up and all the tourists have gone home. It's like having your own private white sand beach. Just gorgeous.
Smallish beach. Great sand, and big draw for the kids is the cool caves and rocks to jump off of into the sand. Can't get cart or stroller down to the beach.
