Fantastic food but the wait between ordering and being served can be quite long. This is eased by the great selection of wines, ales, ciders or beers on offer. Lovely views over the river

Very beautiful location down the River Hamble. Nice humble real ales and a cosy pub overall.

Sitting in the bar area is nicer than the restaurant. Especially in winter when they have the log fires going.

Copies of The Indy sitting around all over the place. A great area to relax with a paper is a small corner of the bar area.

How times have changed... nothing but a gastropub now. However the location can't be beaten and the managers run a highly professional bar.

The food is much too expensive for what it is. Go to any of the other pubs in this chain and eat the same for less.

Can tie up with a RIB but dries up @ low tide. Trades on bucolic location, but not quality of food.
