This was my favourite temple of all those I've visited in chiang mai. Moss covered stone walls and statues, chirping birds, and the tunnels make it eerily beautiful.
Magical place just after the rainy season has ended, around early October or November - there are Buddha heads and other relics from various temples covered in moss and vines all over the place. Read more
The main attraction at this foresttemple are the ancient tunnels, with paintings of green scenery on the walls (very faded). Entrance fee is THB20 per person (pay the attending monk)
