You receive a number when entering & are called for services by number, not scheduled appt time. If u arrive before 7 AM, you'll have best chance for parking (free) on street in front of the Consulate
There is a passport-photo booth inside (€6). No drinks allowed when entering, but there's a drink/snack machine inside (in waiting area). Guards begin admitting people for appointments around 7:10 AM
Don't worry about the time of your appointment, you just need to have one. They only let a certain number of people through each day. Go later in the morning to avoid the rush and the lines!
