Customer service varies a lot depending on who you speak to - I've had great & awful experiences. Read the small print - tendency to nickel & dime you for things like FasTrak ($3 a day "admin fee"!).
Don't say yes to the satellite radio option if you upgrade (they have decent upgrade rates during the week). Chances are the car you're getting has it installed in the radio so it works regardless :)
Waited 45 minutes at the counter due to ancient IT systems. Staff said this was a normal occurrence and that they couldn't do anything about it. No Preferred automation. Just go to the airport.
Got there at time. Drove the car inside. At the desk they asked to give back the keys in the garage. Whilst doing this the Avis personnel left the desk and closed saying I was too late. Bad service!
Absolutely, hands down the worst rental location ever. Agents have no sense of urgency, and just shuffle back and forth with a dull look on their face with slack jaws. The 'preferred' line's a joke
Booked a car for 10.30am, turned up, they had no cars. There were 8 other customers in the next hour, all told the same thing. At 12pm they gave us a car. Avoid.
Handy location BUT do not expect Avis Preferred Service or Avis First Service. It is a franchise so I guess they don't offer it. Just plan for the extra time to pick up and drop off. Don't forget gas
