    1877 年に八幡東学校として建てられた木造 2 階建・瓦葺の擬洋風建築。棟梁は日牟禮八幡宮も担当した宮大工・高木家の高木作右衛門。六角形の太鼓楼が文明開化感を醸し出す。

    明治はじめの小学校だったところ。和洋折衷のかわいい場所。いまは観光案内とかギャラリーとか。NO-MAの案内もあります
