One of the best reasons to avoid Union Square. When it was occasionally there it was good. Now it's a ripoff and clogs a perfectly nice park. My tip? Ask Bloomberg to revoke their permit.

Avoid Saturdays here unless you arrive before 9am. Wednesday/Friday are best. The best produce always goes in the morning as the chefs make the rounds. Bring cash in small bills and a reusable bag.
Open Monday Wednesday Friday and Saturday from the wee hours until 6pm all year round. Some stands close earlier or sell out quick. Check out the cooking demos if you get a chance!
Yum, horseradish samples, microgreens, and jams up the wazoo. Is there a better combo, people? Probably yes. But, really, go! It's a fun weekend activity.
Really crowded on the weekends but its mostly good energy. union square park needs to be cleaned up though, a lot of times there is an unwanted "show" put on by a park squatter.

Favorite market in the whole city. The winter months are a little sparse, but come Spring and Summer, I find everything I need for a well-stocked fridge. I think Wednesday afternoons are the best.
My favorite here are the stands with cold, fresh apple cider for a ridiculously low price. I usually get here late on Saturday afternoons, after spending all day out walking around Manhattan, hot, ti
Opened several days during the week, you can be your own chef and get your fruit/veggies and flowers straight off the truck; straight off the farm. Love it!
Stop by to get a Ronnybrook Dairy coffeemilk or some cinnamon toast butter (only on Wednesdays or Saturdays). Also good: hot pickles from Rick's Picks.
Chef Joesph Vaina is constantly inspired by the products at the Union Square Green Market. Serving sustainable and local ingredients is a priority for all of us at CityCrab.
Get one of the fabulous soups (like black bean and smoked pheasant) from Quattro Farm (there on Saturdays). They're great to take to work for an easy and hearty lunch that will make coworkers jealous.
Great organic greens - in my opinion, sometimes better than the Whole Foods across the street. I always buy my baby spinach and fruit here in the summer.
Awesome fresh market! I used to go work @ E 19th and Park so I frequented twice wkly. Baked goods, foccaccia, herbs, veggies, plants, flowers, honey... Really good stuff.
