1. Ali Baba
Tony Pennino: Just hands down my favorite Hoboken restaurant.
2. Mamoun's Falafel
3. Smyrna
Tony Pennino: I like to eat here before seeing a show. The food is healthy and the atmosphere far more pleasant than your average Broadway haunt.
4. Cafe Mogador
Tony Pennino: If you are on the LES, beat a path here. There will be a line, but it'll be worth it (for the coffee alone!).
5. Hanci Turkish Cuisine
Tony Pennino: There are so many great new Turkish restaurants in the area. This is one.
6. Rumi Turkish Grill
Tony Pennino: Turkish food. Jersey City. What could be better?
7. Hummus Place
8. Bacchus of Lebanon
Tony Pennino: So very good, and not particularly expensive. They have good cold mezes. Their eggplant dishes are superb.
9. Lebanese Taverna
10. Papa Kebab
Tony Pennino: Though small, Papa Kebab has some of most authentic -- and best -- Turkish food in the city. They bake their own bread. Try the assorted appetizer platter.
