- The $4 plate of fries is more than enough for 3 people. The $7 cheeseburger is perfect. Happy hour 2 for 1 beers/well drinks from 4-7pm make a trip even more worthwhile.
- I've had the burger at least 5 times, can't say that about anywhere else. I truly think it it's a great burger & the best $7 burger in NYC.
- Fried chicken and nachos of course. Also a frozen drink of some sort - probably just one though. Then pitchers of beer with those snacks.
- Ben GiffordJuly 9, 2018Recommended by Phil for its well-considered kitsch drinks (piña colada, specifically), food (fried chicken), and general vibe. Diner-esque.
- Chris VodolaMarch 12, 2015Alright, this is some absurdly crispy fried chicken. Also there might be crack in the nachos. Nab a booth in the front and hunker down for an awesome drunk meal.
- Wish they were lighter on the batter, but the fried chicken is damn good. Honey butter is the best spread ever for the biscuits.
- Zii HammadApril 15, 2015Good beer, nice bartenders, and delicious hot chicken breast sandwiches. Can be pretty packed, but just go for it.
- Village VoiceAugust 4, 2014This dark corner bar specializes in retro cocktails at retro prices, and, believe us, they're strong. Read more
- My favorite bar. Period. Fried chicken is even better than Pies-N-Things. Yeah, I said it. If it's Friday night and I'm not out of town, I'll be here, feel free to say hi.
- Time Out New YorkJuly 29, 2011This nautical dive has some of the city’s best bar food, including a knockout cheeseburger with mayo and sliced half-sour pickles tucked beneath an amply salted LaFrieda patty. Read more
- Becca BaeFebruary 1, 2017The drinks are great but the fried chicken here is stuff of the gods. Put some honey butter on it, you're welcome.
- TiffanyApril 4, 2016Fried chicken was so good and crispy. The thighs are huge and comes with a honey butter and hot sauce.
- Brunch is awesome! Be sure to get the hash brown. It's a nice flat disc of potato crispiness.
- Jisu PJune 7, 2014Cheap, good food and drinks BUT tables are kind of dirty and sticky. Its VERY hard to get a table. $20 card minimum for drinks. I like this place a lot when I can find a seat!
- My favorite bar in Williamsburg. Beer is cheap, the cocktails are strong, and the fries are to die for. ORDER FRIES!
- John MichaelFebruary 23, 2015Best "value" cocktails in williamsburg. Fried chicken sandwich is great for a dirty first date.
- Grab a hurricane and don't be afraid to walk through the kitchen to the outdoor patio
- Madison SJuly 12, 2015Best piña coladas ever. Generally, I won't drink pina coladas unless I am on vacation but the ones here are amazing.
- Jarel HillMay 21, 2017Best fried chicken I've had. And really great pina colada. Some surly-ass waitresses though.
- MarthaMarch 22, 2015i love the look of the room where the bar is. bartenders are super friendly. recommended.
- melissa HochmanAugust 23, 2014Solid dive where ya drink THE BEST piña coladas 🙌 OH and wash your face with the biscuit butter mmbaby
- The gooey grilled cheese is also real good. Nachos are fools' gold. If I have to talk about the fried chicken, then you lost.
- The old school drinks. The food that is way better than it has any business being. You'll have a fun night here.
- Mike BodgeAugust 15, 2011The weirdest restaurant in the city, order a boat drink and some fried chicken from the bar. Find a place to sit and wait (for a while) and work on your sugar hangover.
- So dive-y but SO good! Three words: Hot chicken breast. Two words: Cadillac Nachos. One word: Biscuits. Nuff said.
- Nao MizAugust 31, 2012Good things happen here. Good fried chicken happens here. Plus they play Spaceballs on TV. What more can I ask for?
- The fried chicken is great, but their MVP is their special cocktail menu printed on their paper table mats.
- antonio coltraneJuly 16, 2011I recommend ending your night here by ordering their namesake drink, the commodore. Its so ridiculous in appearance and alcoholic content that you're guaranteed to leave with a smile
- The jukebox is non-functional but respect that they pipe the PA through its speakers. Also, the boat drink is strong and cheap and recommended.
- Claire J SongJune 1, 2015Cheeseburger, $7 The sort of saucy, fully dressed two-hander that expresses a commitment to condiments and a reliance on napkins.
- Corin LianidesJune 27, 2010Get the fried chicken. Just get it. It is incredibly delicious, crispy, & juicy, and enough for 2 people to share, easy. The biscuits with honey butter that come with it are killer, too. Get it.
- Low key local bar. Great crowd, good vibe, and solid fried chicken.
- The fried chicken/biscuits are enough for two hungry or three snackie people and delicious as hell. The burger is not to be missed, wit' cheese!, and the fries are perfect.
- Sip a million Commodores and eat the ridiculously good burger, fried chicken, and nachos. This place is so annoyingly hipster but the food never disappoints.
- Chelsea RenaudJuly 10, 2015Perfect for "cheap eats" Southern -- Fried Chicken, Cadillac nachos, hot breast sandwich
- Food RepublicJune 4, 2012One of our favorite dive bars. Order the fried chicken, order some beer, sit outside. No need to leave. Ever.
- Of a KindAugust 17, 2011Kalen Kaminski and Astrid Chastka—the duo behind dye-happy line Upstate—swear by the fried chicken and frozen drinks. To read more about these two, head on over to ofakind.com.
- Chicken sando is to die for. So perfect before a night of drinking.
- Jon CarneroJanuary 6Cool space but dark as hell. Watch your step. Also, surly bartenders (coming from an ex-bartender)
