Starr Gibson: Louie's right on the main drag, easy to find. Prime Rib and Eggs or the Breakfast Tacos being my go-to. Also a good spot for lunch, but they close by 4 p.m. everyday!
Starr Gibson: Everyone needs a pancake place, and this is mine! Lots of variety, including a gluten free option. If not the pancakes, try the chilaquiles. Also good for an early lunch as they close by 2 p.m.
Starr Gibson: Great coffee place with historical significance. Enjoy a latte and a fritter or maybe some ice cream. Just a wonderful place to relax and take in the time.
Starr Gibson: My go-to biscuit and gravy place, they hand make most of the ingredients/food. Historic building that used to be a bank; ask if you can see the vaults!
Starr Gibson: Outlet mall that is open air. Open year round, but easier to shop during the nicer weather months. Still a prime location locals know well.
Starr Gibson: Good Mexican style food that even includes a vegan option! The Tostada pizza is a perfect choice when you're "feeling tacos but don't want tacos".
Starr Gibson: Just what you'd expect in a bar: good foods, good drinks, fun atmosphere. Live music and open mic nights make this a place to really rock the night away in downtown La Porte!
Starr Gibson: Even men need a pampering experience now and again. Wilson's hot towel straight razor shave is part of my brother's ritual before a big meeting or event.
Starr Gibson: Who doesn't love a night of bowling with family and friends? Also enjoy Karaoke Thursdays and weekend pub events including a dart tournament every 3rd Friday of the month!
Starr Gibson: Book ahead, especially for popular good weather weekends. Discounts if you bring your own gear, but they have rentals. They allow ages 10+
Starr Gibson: Nothing better than fresh picked produce...well except maybe a fresh Bison Burger! Upick open seasonally, usually starting in June. The Grille open around September focused around apple picking.
