Can park at Marquam and hike all of the way up to Council Crest for a great view of the city and Mt Hood.
Can park here and hike all of the way up to Pittock Mansion, again great views. Pittock is also preserved as a museum - beautiful old home with interesting history.
Great trail that extends from the Esplanade (path that encircles the Willamette River in downtown PDX), South to Sellwood, then East out to Powell Butte and beyond.
Can park here and walk the Marine Drive Path. Paved path, or trails along the water through the grasses also. Enjoy the Columbia and watch the planes come in.
Sauvie Island is super cute with lots of working farms where you can go pick or purchase fruit, lavender, herbs, etc. N end of the island has a nature walk to an old lighthouse.
So many beautiful roses! Every color you could imagine. They don't call it the Rose City for nothing.
About the size of a city block and really beautiful. They have a great little tea house that is nice to sit down for an afternoon snack and enjoy the garden.
Excellent Japanese garden. They've recently renovated and added a new courtyard and teahouse that are supposed to be beautiful - haven't visited since the updates.
