On the other side lies Borgo San Giuliano, Rimini’s most beguiling district. Begin with lunch at Nud e Crud (Via Tiberio, nudecrud.it; mains from £7), which serves traditional piade cuisine.
1pm: Pop to Fellini’s favourite square – the Piazzetta dei Teatini, by the cathedral – before returning to the main Corso and heading north and then on to the Tiberius Bridge, completed in 20AD.
7pm: Head to the Piazza Cavour. Grab a table at one of the bars on the Piazetta Gregorio da Rimini. The square is a great spot for people-watching.
