Nice terrace where you can smoke but it closes 10pm. Sunday brunch buffet is lovely but eat as much as you can, it's 25€ head. I only managed 2 tiny plates as was suffering bad hangover. iMac in-room
A bit off the hectic center and just by the sea, Parc Borely is a peaceful park in which you can enjoy several landscapes and ride pedal cars! You might be lucky and see horse racing at the racetrack!
Situated at the highest natural point in Marseille, Notre Dame de la Garde provides a wonderful 360 degree view of the city, from Vieux Port to the mountains to the Mediterranean.
The food is excellent for the price, and it's a bit off-the-beaten-path, which is always welcome. However you'll have to avoid minding the manners of the cook, harsh at best. Too bad.
Trendy & lively place serving some great cocktails. My favorite : Jack Daniel's Sour. Tip: Get the table upstairs facing the bar for a cool view of the place & watching the bartenders in action!

Best place to eat near the Vieux Port. The pastas are great, delicious. In a summer night, you should try the house wine - Fuxia Rosé - and sit on the terrace.

Although built to be his palace, Napoleon III has never been to Le Pharo! It now belongs to the city of Marseille; make sure to walk in its park and to check its great views on the Old Port!

Great concept stores, shops and restaurants: Valentine & Co for bacs, Be Organic for food, Ambassade de Bretagne for crêpes etc. The patios are nice to sit for a coffee.
Very friendly staff (they do speak English!). I highly recommend this place particularly if you want to stop off from the tourist guide red walk round the Panier.
