If you want a more challenging, butt intensive run, do the "high road" and run up the steeper hills out till you reach the Nike Missile station.
There are usually other people on the path here, but the surrounding neighborhood is cute and seems relatively safe. Just make sure you are on the right side of the path!
Watch out for the bums if you are running there before or after daylight hours.
The Olympic trail run will get the blood pumping pretty quick.
