Very good service, polite & helpful staffs. Take a room that overlooks the beautiful jal mahal. The breakfast everyday at the Jal mahal restaurant is pretty good & has a wide variety. Enjoyed my stay.
Great hotel & rooms, but also contains a cheaper hotel for more economical travelers.

Like many historic houses, Shahpura House is a curious mixture of the old & the new. Fine international cuisine, authentic flavours of Rajasthan or a quiet drink are all present here.
Rooftop restaurant has the most beautiful bathroom in all of India. Wish I could sleep there, but at 175 rupees for a pristine dorm bed, I'm not complaining. Great common room as well.
Best ever! Affordable, clean, yummy food and the staff is really sweet. Not great for meeting others if you're traveling solo but then - it's a hotel not a hostel.
Try the restaurant for dinner while staying here, or even when you're not a guest. Except for the desserts, food is exquisite! You'll have to pay European prices though.
Pretty much the only thing to check out at night in Jaipur. For westerners, this is nowhere close to impressive... but if you're looking for a place to hangout with a good mix of locals and tourists..
Its a pity Salman Rushdie couldn't make it but having the likes of Hari Kunzru and Ben Okri was great too.
