Kevin PaulFebruary 26, 2013Car rental has never been more of a pleasure! Amazing set up that takes you on a 20 minute scenic tour by car and then a wonderful 5 mile stroll before you actually make it to security.

“La Carreta” it's a really nice place for sandwiches. Near to the gate D30 grab the Cuban a typical Florida's one. Also a bag of plateen sliced chips!!

When leaving the car rental lot the concrete messes with the gps and everyone gets on the road and has to slow down or stop before the first intersection to wait for the satellites to catch up. :-)
If traveling during American holidays give yourself at least 2 hours minimum, safer bet is 2.5 hours! American Airlines terminal is the best! So much variety you’ll never be bored!
Get your ass here early...follow the 2-hour recommended arrival time before your flight. You never know....signed: #RoadWarrior
MismiDecember 14, 2013If you want beach and party, try to find hotel near to Lincon Road, very nice street!! And if you like shopping, the mall in Orlando are cheaper even than duty free ;)
Lucretia PruittNovember 28, 2014If you are cruising or leaving in the evening, the hotel by E concourse has a day rate from 10-6p. Worth every penny. Quiet, comfy beds, dark and chill.

One of the best airports I’ve visited lots of good places to eat especially the Caribbean restaurant with the crab soup. Stay away from the empanada store food sucks

Nice Airport. TSA PRE lane on terminal D took just 3 minutes to get thru. Cafe Versailles is Da Bomb! Order a Medianoche and Cafecito anytime, can't miss. The American Express Centurion Lounge...
If you're hungry and not feeling any fast food places... Go to La Carreta by gate D37. Order Ropa Vieja and thank me later. ;)

If you're flying out of Concourse D (and have time to kill) go to the end of the terminal btwn gates 1-24 for a fantastic selection of shopping & food. Ice Box Cafe is a MUST, especially the breakfast

From baggage claim, go the the 3rd floor and follow the signs for car rental. You get to ride a train!
Friendly staff in immigration. Free wifi, turn your step monitor or RunKeeper on if you're going to get rental car... You'll add tons to your steps.... I promise!
Harumi UMarch 15, 2015Count on delays, hold ups and your having to move from furthest gate to another. If you have to transit (to go central and Latin American, many of you probably do) make sure to factor that time in- AA’s PreCheck only lane always gets me through in under 10 minutes. Otherwise, concourse E is the fastest line. Avoid concourse D lines, they’re always the longest.
- And please, people, travel light with the carryons, hv slip off shoes, don't wear belts or jewelry, put it all on AFTER you go thru TSA... don't people know this yet!?!?!?!? Need line for peepslikeme!
Check prices from Fort Lauderdale if you're flying nationally, FLL is usually way cheaper!! And just 23 dolar share ride away (and the shared rides from there are allways almost empty!!)
When you get to baggage claim, go straight outside and grab a free Smartecart and save yourself 5 bucks. People that get taxis, Supershuttle, or picked up, leave them on the curb.

Mimi UkwuaniMay 29, 2013Landing at Terminal D especially with international flights, there is a lot of walking, lines, people, checkpoints, & security AGAIN (as if you went to some place in between your last airport and MIA)
Valet parking is $30 Daily in the garage! FLL valet is a little less and it’s at the doors to the entrance!

Uber drivers will drop you on the upper level and pick you up from the ground level
