Best beach in the north. Left side is mostly for sailboards, kayaks and surfers; right side, from left to far right: youngsters > tourists > gay men > loose dogs > beach pong > religious (separate).
If they have it, get the Eddie Murphy burger. There's also excellent seafood and asparagus dishes. Go look at the pretty ceramics on the wall next to the kitchen window.
Spaten on draft (as well as cider, if that's your thing). There's always something funky going on, like a comic book sale or an experimental band playing. Try being friendly, but not too friendly.
Best lunch deal: Kubeh Pinuk, served on a plate with all the ingredients of a Sabich sandwich. Get it with a half-and-half (lemonade/raspberry) and eat it on the bar outside.

A croissant filled with sausage, cheese and poached egg. Can you think of anything better to do at 1am? Get it with coffee and you're a certified night owl.
Ridiculously cramped into a hard to find corner is one of Tel Aviv's best restaurants. Be sure to get papaya salad and a coconut pineapple shake.
Ah, Teder... A closet of a bar pumping out white-boy dancehall to a hipster crowd tenfold its capacity and spilling out into the summer night. So much to ♥ about this place.
Excellent Balkan tapas. Get a small Chalah bread with all kinds of stuff. Then get another Chalah. Then more stuff. Then Chalah.
Slow-made, slow-served pizza. My favourite pizza in the whole world is their broccoli & cherry tomato slice. The runner-up is the spinach & bulgarian cheese. Sit at the bar and watch TV.
Classic for (very) late nights or (very) early mornings, when the pastries are fresh and the vibe is permitting.
Exceptional Falafel & Shawarma and very friendly staff. The best place for a quick pit stop on a busy afternoon.
Tel Aviv's first and truly *central* shopping mall. Great for clothes, book browsing and gift shopping. Less great for food although Fridays host a super busy food market.
Organic food market. Mostly pricey but check out the stands out front and back for weekend sales. You can get 10 avocados for 10 shekels mid-season.
Take a printmaking workshop or wing it on your own if you know your stuff! Decent material pricing but bring your own paper.
One of the best chef restaurants in Israel, offering high-end adaptation of Morroccan and North African cuisine. Wine menu is very satisfying and seaview at daytime is beutiful as well.
Great place for midday Shawarma. Try the Lamb Döner and/or Lahmajun for a Turkish twist.
Finally, some bibimbap in Tel Aviv. Not crazy about the whole fusion concept but the Korean part of it is pretty decent.
Best Hummus in the area. Superb Kubbeh soup. Excellent Mejadrah rice. Very good stews. Are you still thinking about it?!
Classic soda bar. Ask for a soda, then watch as they painstakingly prepare it with natural ingredients and a rare attention to detail. Also, good coffee if you don't have time.
Grab a table early on Friday noon and get a set of backgammon. The stews are good but you're really here for the Jachnun. So get another one with your shot of Arak while you're at it.
Caffé Diemme; Rich, tasty pastries – my favorite is the blueberry muffin. If there's no seat in the front go inside all the way and try the back yard.
