Park at the very end of the beach near the Over Sand Vehicle entrance. Just a short walk from the lot, the beach is much less crowded.
Explored the loop by foot, bicycle & automobile several times and still see things that amaze me. Last year my wife & I saw 5 ponies asleep on the paved part of the loop towards the end. A must-see.
One of my favorite ice cream shops anywhere. They take soft serve and make it into anything, including huge sundaes, cyclones, and dip cones. Reasonably priced too.
Best food for the best price. Breakfast is awesome and so is the staff.
With more launches than any other NASA facility, WFF is worth exploring. Their 2 main areas (balloons, sounding rockets, planes) are SOOO cool! Come learn about them!
Need a combination suggestion? Try a scoop of banana pudding ice cream with Butterfinger topping on top of a cake batter sugar cookie. Yum!
Tasty donuts and decent coffee. Get here early, they run out of things quickly and close at 3pm.
There aren't too many places where you can eat seafood, buy wooden ducks and buy used shotgun shells. Who knew I needed all 3 at the same time?!
