Great view of the river... it has a restaurant, but it's nice to go at night and stay in the terrace with a good wine. You can always ask for a grilled chorizo!

The pastéis (custard) are served warm & sprinkled w/powdered sugar & cinnamon. These treats are so sought after that it is illegal for any other shop to sell anything called pastéis de Belém.

This is a lovely village 45min by train from Lisbon. Totally worthy to spend a day there to visit the historic center and the castles/palaces.
