Nath Barrow: Best real ale selection in the area. Knowledgable and competent staff.

Chris Leckie: Feels like a proper old mans pub, good starting point for a few pints.

Scotland's Attractions: Incredible wine selection, lovely atmosphere, perfect for a quiet bottle (or three) with friends

Illegal Jack: Awesome spot for cocktails!

Kay Koyama-Gore: Folk at the Tique live music on Thursday nights. Musicians turn up to play Scottishy folky stuff.

Chris Leckie: Fantastic wee pub that changes their beers/ale and serves great food.

Chris Steinle: Fast becoming one of my favourite pubs in Edinburgh. The best choice around for a pre- or post-movie pint, and the food ain't half bad either.

EmeraldStreet: Famous for their ales with quirky names, like Punk IPA and Tactical Nuclear Penguin, BrewDog have put as much care into their new bar as they do into their brews. Read more.

Jenny Octigan: Lovely modern pub with old fashioned features. Very nice!!

Chris Leckie: The sister pub of Dukes in Dundee and Holyrood 9A in Edinburgh. You can be assured a good pint but it will cost you.

Flange Kisher: Great beer garden, best place to be in the summer!!

Jill Murphy: Lovely bar! Beautiful interiors and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Illegal Jack: Decent table service bar, great ambience, limited draft beer range, and grouchy management. I'm here a lot, I should know :)

Kate Park: James and his team always make you feel welcome. Their pint of tradewinds is magic, same with Guinness. Also, serve great toasties - old school & the best!

Karli Scott: Go early for Burger night [Wednesday], and stay until they close because of the grand company. Be sure to have a local pint!

Flixity.tv Scottish Video Guide: Super setting - lots of little cosy nooks - great spot for a nice meal or drinks with friends!

Claire Saunders: £15 for a bottle of prosecco, get there before 7 for the perfect post-work drink.
