Jillian Cohan: Low-key local joint that has tons of beers & specializes in IPAs. Bartender has been known to shared a patron's homebrew. Wish they were open daytime hours, too. Love the no-frills attitude.
CultureMap Houston: Post-fire, Mai's looks more upscale and urban, but the food has retained its homey street quality. Get some spring rolls, and share a Banh Xeo and the garlic beef.
