This place did a great job giving the atmosphere of an old diner. Chicken fried steak is awesome. Not a far walk from the downtown shops and the blue holepark.
Everything about this place is good. Love that their foods are fresh, local, organic, and most of all delicious. The biscuits and fresh squeezed orange juice are the best! The coffee is excellent too.
This cafe is the worst-kept secret in Georgetown. Near downtown Georgetown, it is always humming. Enjoy the biscuits they bring out, and try the liver-and-onions or turkey sandwich.
Little pricey but doable. Pancakes are good. King ranch casserole was amazing. If it is your first visit you get a free piece of pie. We'd do it again. Service is a little slow. Monumentpie AMAZING!
Best veggie burger I've ever had. Delicious fries. Delicious grilled tomatoes. Squash. Salsa is excellent. Love the music They play. Love the whole look and atmosphere.

This place was featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives and it is great!! Try their orange juice and their pancakes are huge. Haven't had anything bad here!!
This place is absolutely the most awesome place to eat. Everything was homemade down to the pie. Our server was a sweetheart and kept us constantly in tea and coffee.
Worth the drive for chicken & dumplings, homemademeatloaf & crunchy-fried catfish w/ hearty sides of seasonal, locally grownvegetables. They source the ingredients from nearby farmers - go local!! Read more

Important to note: The "VeggieFries" are dredged in rice flour, so if you're on a low or slow carb diet... These are probably not for you. (They're really good though.)
The Monument Café is a locally owned and operated restaurant designed to be reminiscent of the Texas roadside cafes of the 1920's to the 1940's. We serve only fresh meats, vegetables and desserts. Everything we serve is cooked and prepared in the restaurant by our employees. We buy as many of our vegetables as possible from local farmers as well as raise several vegetables and spices in our own garden. Our meats are free of hormones, antibiotics, steroids, and animal byproducts. We serve Horizon and Organic Valley dairy products as well as free-range yard eggs. We want you to have a great meal, friendly and professional service, and to leave the restaurant feeling that you received value for your money and wanting to return.
