This is an excellent museum. Very interactive and the children love stuff like matchbox making. There is a great insight into local changes over the years.
Perhaps the best old house in London. Takes about 1.5 hours to go round, and then there's a nice cafe.
Named after a former Lord Mayor of London (d.1703), this museum shows how the English home has changed from 1630 to 1998 with 11 ‘sample’ rooms, each with festive decorations at Christmas.

Fantastic vintage posters, local artists' prints. Closed Monday... Sadly closed completely - but there is an amazing Indian veg restaurant here now
With exhibitions of so many of the major British artists (Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Gary Hume, Gilbert&George to name but a few) this gallery, in the heart of Mayfair, is a true must-visit in London.
