There is a mound of dirt that starts near the sidewalk east of Burnham and curves over to Drury Lane. This mound was once a Civil War trench and recently shells and other artifacts have been dug up.

Step inside the Historic Washington Avenue Baptist Church for a look at stunning floor-to-ceiling stained glass windows. In addition to hosting services & events, the church houses NAACP offices.
This Black Walnut tree west of Burnham was planted in 1910, making it the oldest surviving tree on campus. The plaque at the base dedicates the tree to our first president, Nathan Morrison.
The Olin collection includes an original Picasso etching donated by Tom Whitlock, a former DU music student who won an Academy Award for writing “Take my Breath Away” from Top Gun. (Seriously).
