If you care about beer, ignore the whiners and take the tour. This ain't the sprawling Budweiser complex, but they just expanded and you'll learn cool stuff about a good brewery.

Nearly every New York Citybar serves this local joint’s brew, but swing by the place itself. From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., pay $4 for a wooden nickel and redeem it for any beer the place brews.
Surprisingly limited selection of styles. Most of the beer hall is open space, so be prepared to stand if you're not lucky enough to snag a table or bench.

Try their reservebeer- well with the two chips. If companion is still available I would highly recommend it. Smooth buttery taste and high in alcohol content

The building housing the brewery was once the sprawling complex of the Hecla Iron Works, founded in 1876, which produced components for buildings like Grand Central and the New York Life Building.
on the weekend, it was more of a talk than a tour but still interesting. the cheap prices are definitely a big perk. with last call at 7:30 on Saturday, it's a good place to start off an evening.
