The huge suite is somewhat outdated but nonetheless quite ideal for days before and after a League wedding event. We also had a small reception here for family and special guests.
My wife and I were married in the garden. It is a beautiful place to exchange the vows. We were surrounded by lush gardens, statues, and amazing architecture and married under the center tree.
The wife and I enjoyed our time here on the day after the wedding. The honeymoon was in full swing, and we tried a number of delicious alcoholic beverages--she found out that she liked lambic.
Cafe Felix treated us very well. We were seated by the window, and it is just very fun to be in that spot. So many people walk by, and it was a beautiful day. The food is special and above.
This is a great place to catch an open air concert, watch a fun movie, or on special occasions watch a silent film with the bell tower organ--amazing. We even toured the bell tower.
The Michigan Union transformed since my days there in the 90s. The lunch shops, basement, and main floor looks different. We went up to the second floor and considered billiards. Still there!
Honestly, after the wedding day and all the bright lights, we wanted more pictures--personal pictures--and we went to the law quad and snapped some. Everybody seems to know this as others were too.
While the menu is much too extensive and my eyes gloss over, I like having a quiet meal in the 2nd floor near the handsome granite fireplace. Photos of The Fab Five remain dunking with attitude.
