Billy Comfort: Lovely to stroll around VM on a warm sunny evening and hear live music on every street corner. Lots of art galleries, bars, bookshops and fashion boutiques with a food market on Saturday mornings.

Billy Comfort: Lovely lake and leafy paths which makes a welcome respite from SP's concrete streets. Check out the Japanese garden, MAC and sculptures scattered about. Gets very crowded on the weekends so park well.
Billy Comfort: I love Sao Paulo Zoo! The biggest in Latin America and has a great variety of animals incl. spider monkeys and a snow leopard. The highlights are the tropical birds, the best collection in the world!
Billy Comfort: The oldest museum in Sao Paulo, my favourite place in the city. Refurbished in 1998, the Pinacoteca, the park and Luz Station are all beautiful sights.
Billy Comfort: Praca Benedito Calixto may be the most chic market in SP, but it doesn't have the sheer variety of arts and crafts to be found here. Quite far from the centre but well worth the visit.
Billy Comfort: If you are learning Portuguese in Brazil, this museum really shows how the language has evolved and incorporated words from the most unusual sources.
Billy Comfort: The former residence of Dom Pedro, this elegant manor house has a collection of 19th century paintings and sculptures inside, with topiary and a fountain outside.
Billy Comfort: Across the Praca de Se from the Cathedral, this museum holds exhibitions of major Brazilian artists. Well-worth a visit when you're in the centre.
Billy Comfort: Anhangabau, "evil spirits" in Tupi-Guarani was a river drained to form this verdant valley in the centre of SP. Worth a wander esp. to see the huge Os Gemeos graffiti on the corner of Av. Sao Joao.

Billy Comfort: Far from just about everything, but a much welcome respite from the concrete jungle. Wild monkeys (bugios) and the 3rd largest section of the Atlantic rainforest still remaining.
