Italská (Polská, Chopinova), Praha, Hlavní město Praha
Park · Praha 2 · 110 tips and reviews
Ben Engen: A classic. Gorgeous views of the city at sunset and a beer garden featuring cheap drafts and cheap simple hot dogs/sausages etc. Definitely go for sunset one night.
Ben Engen: The Czechs take their meat seriously and this butchery represents the peak of that passion. Stop in for lunch and get either steak tartare or a meatloaf sandwich.
Ben Engen: The sprawling "castle complex" is technically the largest in the world. But it's the cathedral that makes this awesome. Crazy tourist trap, plan ahead to avoid buying water/food inside.
Ben Engen: A slightly updated twist on truly traditional Czech cuisine and dining experience. There's one in each neighborhood now so stop in to one to get a since for the local cuisine.
Modern European Restaurant · Karlín · 262 tips and reviews
Ben Engen: A very modern twist on traditional Czech cuisine and a superlative restaurant in its own right. It's a full evening commitment but this should be a destination.
Americká 15 (Záhřebská), Praha, Hlavní město Praha
Café · Praha 2 · 80 tips and reviews
Ben Engen: I'm annoyed this place doesn't have a better rating. The service is good, the food is good, the location is great and the prices are reasonable. I get the English breakfast several times a week.
Ben Engen: If you're missing America this is the place to come. Good BBQ, American music on the playlist, plenty of English spoken and even real bourbon. Expensive by Prague standards, though.
Ben Engen: Walks a fine line between being cool and hipster-speakeasy-douchebaggery but I think they manage to veer to the cool side. For sure go if you're in the mood for cocktails.
Ben Engen: The draw here is the setting which sprawls across a number of underground cellars each with a different "theme" or feel. Apart from that I found it a rather unremarkable pub. Cash only. Free WiFi.
Ben Engen: I'd rank this just slightly below average on my Irish Pub scale. The thing that it does really have going for it is the consistency of live music.
Ben Engen: Popped in for an espresso tonic for the walk home and was pleasantly surprised. Despite being in a touristy area the quality was exceptional and the price was reasonable.
Ben Engen: Czech-style dumpling emporium. Pretty casual traditional place. I wouldn't make it a destination but if you're in the area and want something a little more main-stream Czech it's worth hitting.
Terminál 2 (PRG Airport), Praha, Hlavní město Praha
Airport Lounge · Ruzyně · 49 tips and reviews
Ben Engen: Pretty average as far as lounges go. However, it is quiet and does have a decent range of beverage choices. Not really much food to speak of, though.
