Hays is my hometown and I usually visit Gella's at least once if not more times on each trip home. I always travel with empty growlers to fill while I'm there. Lemon Ale is an excellent summer pick!
Elsie's Irish Coffee Milk Stout is one of my favorite beers ever...hands down. Papago is always my first stop when I travel to the PHX area. I'll even check luggage to bring back a growler.

Excellent food and a wide variety of brews makes this a must on any trip to the PHX area. Kiltlifter is excellent, plus it comes in cans!
This out of the way Micro Brew Pub is an excellent addition to the St. Louis beer scene. They have solid beers in several categories and the bar is a great place to hang out with or without friends.
They have a small bar, but their beers are worth the trip. When I was travelling to MN for work, Barley John's was always a favorite stop of mine.
