I like good bars, especially good draught beer bars. I also like a good cocktail, fun people watching & few 21-year olds. These are bars I frequent, recommend, and enjoy (and in one case, manage).

Steve Basile: I've been drinking here for 11 years & a partner for 8. Guinness here is sublime, but the pub features 16 taps, 7 local brews & the best Fish & Chips I've had since England. Manic about fresh beer.
Steve Basile: World's 1st cooperatively owned brewpub--Join up and you can be a pub owner too. Tasty beer brewed on premise plus a fine craft selection, fresh locavore menu, nice patio, @ Crestview Metrorail stop

Steve Basile: Perhaps resting on their giant burger laurels a bit, still the best jukebox in town, cool staff & usually a pretty damn good burger. Order at the back as soon as you arrive, tip the cook and smile.
Steve Basile: Nice deck out front, patio in back, a bigger beer selection than many places and a great old English pub feel. Menu much improved of late too. Now if they would only refurb the mens room!
Steve Basile: 43 years of draught beer excellence, & brewing their own in a tiny brewhouse since about 1994. Best beer bar in Austin, with new brews daily. Great Beer Garden out back, dog friendly too.
Steve Basile: Draught beer mecca in Austin, with 83 taps, and dozens of great bottles. Beer garden out back, tasty snacks, now if they would only add new brews as often as they used to...
Steve Basile: Better beer made on premise than you probably recall since brewer Todd Henry took over the controls. Great bottled beer selection too. Always great people watching too, just off 6th.

Steve Basile: A cocktail bar for people who don't think they like cocktails. Don't bother asking for anything with Vodka. Branch out, let an expert mixologist make you a COCKTAIL & snack on some tasty small plates.
Steve Basile: A quality draught beer selection North of town finally! Decent food, friendly staff, nice patio, many fine local, regional and craft beers +WiFi in an historic stone building with excellent parking.
Steve Basile: Now with Parking! Still making great beer, decent barbecue and with a spiffy patio to boot, parking garage directly behind the brewpub for convenience. The sauce in the RED squeeze bottle is HOT HOT.
