Sue Alouche: Superb examples of communist architecture on this street. Cafe sybille on same street holds a permanent exhibition about the renovation of the buildings into "wedding cake palaces". Worth the walk!

Susanne: These buildings interrupt the wedding-cake-style, because a monumental neoclassical coliseum (Deutsche Sporthalle) had stood here since 1951. It was torn down in 1971 because of structural damages.
