Of all the Polish restaurants in Greenpoint, Karczma may have the whackiest design, treading close to theme restaurant territory. But its huge menu of comfort food is consistently well-executed.
Especially vegetal-tasting soy milk and great fresh tofu. The freshly steamed rice rolls are among the best in Chinatown, but note that they're only made until about 4 pm.
Try the chicken schnitzel and get some sides. Be prepared to stand in line though- at lunch time this truck can get crowded.
