My never-ending quest for great Mexican food of all styles.
1. Mi Tierra
Amy Guth: Easily, the happiest place on earth. Try the Tinga Poblano.
2. Fernando's Restaurant
Amy Guth: The salsa fresca is just right: served chilled, with light, thin, warm tortilla chips.
3. La Familia Mexican Restaurant
Amy Guth: Hit the chicken quesadillas, yo.
4. The Original Mexican Restaurant
Amy Guth: Always one of my first stops when I'm back in Funkytown. The margaritas, chips and salsa fresca are some of the best around, but I've never found better chili con queso or enchiladas.
5. The Alley Cantina
Amy Guth: The best posole around.
6. Maria's New Mexican Kitchen
7. De Cero Taqueria
8. Arturo's Tacos
9. Garcia's Restaurant
10. Tia Sophia's
11. Dos Diablos
Amy Guth: Beef picadillo crunchy tacos are delicious.
12. Cantina Laredo
Amy Guth: Bypass the hostess stand, head to the lounge upstairs and try the shredded beef and cherry salsa flatbread.
13. Zapatista
Amy Guth: Try the carde asada fajitas for two.
14. Moe's Cantina
15. Uncle Julio's
16. Joe T. Garcia's
