Arthur Mitchell: Yes there is the view, but San Diego is its military heroes. The adjacent area is still littered with Coast Artillery emplacements and pill boxes built by the Army Corp of Engineers.
Arthur Mitchell: The lighthouse is one of the iconic symbol of San Diego. The view is awesome. The monument includes old parts of Fort Rosecrans an Army installation built in 1898.
Arthur Mitchell: Came into it's own as the location of the 1915 Panama–California Exposition, which created the architectural landmarks for the park. It is home to over a dozen museums and the World Famous SD Zoo.
