Jessi Singh: Our girls love it, but I have fun here too. We design dresses on the mannequins, paint the scenes of Charlton St at the easels in the window. The spinning chairs in the Swirl Studio are a favorite.
Jessi Singh: It’s not just about the carousel and the park. It’s the whole journey over. It’s a great place to look back onto the city and reflect on what it means/takes to be living in NYC.
Jessi Singh: I get my chai and samosa fix here. Feels like home. I can hang out and talk with others like me who have come to this country to work hard and try to enjoy the experience at the same time.
Jessi Singh: Start in the East Village and go to Chinatown. Seeing people playing sports, the small garden areas, the water views, even the craziness of the FDR reminds me why I love this diverse, exciting city.

Jessi Singh: I buy for Babu Ji here all the time, but even on the days I don’t need to, I still find myself here. All the gorgeous microgreens and edible flowers I use come from the Two Guys From Woodbridge.
Jessi Singh: Besides the food and wine, which every time are beyond incredible, there is design, music, bits of humor and the characters behind the joint to enjoy too. Charlie Bird has a personality and I love it.

Jessi Singh: A place that welcomes you right in like an old friend. Get comfy with a cheese plate and whatever they recommend. Relax here and leave it in their hands. These guys will always take great care of you.
Jessi Singh: In addition to the food - which I love - everything about this place makes me feel comfortable in a city where sometimes everything feels hectic and hyped up.
