The Capital GrilleJuly 26, 2013In 1976, the airport leased 6 acres of land to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to be used for the team's headquarters and training site.
Use the cell phone lot for picking up someone.. big sign with arrivals, bathrooms, concession, free wifi. The only thing that would be better is if they had a view of the runway..
1.For vehicle rentals try Enterprise. 2.Level 7 for parking spots are gd and 3.During 1hr (Short term parking lot) FREE.

Edward EspositoApril 13, 2013Don't panic, Starbucks in main and outlying terminals. You'll need ticket & ID to board trams to gates then again to get to the gates coming off tram. Moves quickly, TSA pros.
kumi monsterAugust 20, 2010One of the nicest airports I've been to in the US. Simple, and easy to get around, free WiFi & smoking areas before & after security (at least for airside C)!
While Economy parking is cheapest, it also takes some 30 min to get to your car. Long term gets me on my car in 5.

Tampa International Airport is a great place, the tram is great and efficient! I always enjoy this airport.

Park on lvl 2 long term to walk across, esp if u have ur boarding pass printed right side is closest to airside c for southwest and AirTran
Danny McManusAugust 29, 2013I travel ALOT. . . TSA employees here are the most polite and friendly of any airport I've been to. If course is 7am, so that might change.
Don’t fight the departure drop-off traffic at Blue terminal, drive to the end and turn right on the one-way street to let people out in peace.

Not a fan of the "Immediate Unloading ONLY" for picking up for guests... You either have to keep circling or just sit in the SHORT TERM PARKING till your party is ready for pick-up.
Pretty easy to get around. Good Irish bar near Delta gates. Rental car area is a bit of a haul, so leave time.
