- Raj S.August 8, 2014During the week it's an after work financial district spot. Lots of suits. Doesn't detract from the beer hall seating and great selection of beers. Get a liter and be happy. Bavarian decor.
- Hoppy [sic] Hour 2-4pm M-F, 4-10pm Sat. Daily specials Mon 1/2 off Bratwurst, Tue $2 tots, Wed 1/2 Schwings, Sat 14oz Prime Rib Dinner. Happy hour!
- Blake SJanuary 18, 2016Great revitalized German beer haus. The sausage plate and mustards didn't disappoint! Highly recommend splitting it with a few friends.
- Shruthi GowdaApril 22, 2017Must try the beer flight. Worth the price and you get to taste the amazing German beers.
- Staff PicksJuly 1, 2014Take your Tuesday business meeting up a notch by going out to lunch at Schroeder's. Enjoy the iconic German beer hall's atmosphere while grabbing potato pancakes and a light beer with your lunch. Read more
- I had my first German food since my layover stop between Afghanistan and the US in Leipzig-Halle Airport, Germany and this place was excellent. The down side: get your German booze at the bar.
- Errol ReyesJune 6, 2014It is new and improved. The space looks much bigger. For dinner, wiener schnitzel was excellent! Good service, too.
- K GaOctober 15, 2014Vegans can get the potato pancakes without bacon, be sure to be clear about dairy. Potato noodles can also be modified to be without eggs, the broth is onion based.
- Vincent TangMay 22, 2014Knowledgable staff, impeccable service, and amazing food. Get the picture? Order the Vesperplatte, grab a drink to accompany, and try the soup too
- Andrea BognarDecember 12, 2015Food is extraprdinary, definitely not traditional, and I loved it. Good selection of excellent beer.
- Whoa. Serious remodel here. I almost didn't recognize the place. Beer is good. Old fashioneds are surprisingly good. Food is somewhat authentically German.
- Whitney R.July 6, 2014The remodel is amazing! I didn't even realize I was in the same place. Beer selection is still great.
- Sl VardamanSeptember 7, 2012Giant beers and even boots of beer. What's not to like? Food is solid too.
- The Bold ItalicJune 16, 2011Order the schweinshaxe. No one does it like Schroeder's. If you call ahead, you can special order pumpernickel bread, which comes directly from Germany. Read more
- Pete SchirmerNovember 14, 2018swap out that double serving of cabbage & kraut for a side of spatzle. also stigel gold is not a helles imho
- Chris SMay 14, 2015The schnitzel here is nothing like authentic German food, but if you take the dish on its own, it was tasty. Not worth $30, but tasty. I would go here to drink and hang out, but not eat.
- Michael GuertinJune 14, 2012The Reuben is pretty good here. And Suzy is the best bartender, nice and does a good job
- J JohnApril 19, 2017Great beer selection, friendly staff. The food is VERY subpar and not worth the prices they charge
- NikeMay 2, 2013Bar food and beers are way overpriced. But its easy to seat a large group and they have free hors d'oeuvres during happy hour.
- Kelsey KotzebueMarch 12, 2018Beware, if you get a double, they charge an extra $10 for the shot and another $2 for the "added" soda.
- David GoodladNovember 24, 2013This place is bizarrely. Bizarre. And awesome in it's own... Bizarre way.
- Tyler GoughJune 21, 2014The food is alright, but nothing special, especially for the exorbitant price. Don't try and fit 9 folks at a table for 8. It seems to bend the laws of physics (i.e., the staff isn't accommodating).
- Erik BeerepootMarch 28, 2017Pretty solid beer selection (any place that carries Gulden Draak is good in my book)... food is so so.
- Trey PitmanSeptember 6, 2011Grab a Das Boot full of some great German beer and enjoy some rather tasty German food.
- 42nd Street MoonSeptember 28, 2011Schroeder’s offers 42nd Street Moon patrons a 10% discount with your pre-or post performance dinner.
- Mark McGregorNovember 22, 2011Founded in 1893, Schroeder's moved to this location in 1959 - but women weren't allowed for lunch until 1970.
- Phillip KidwellJanuary 24, 2011Make sure you try the Large Boot of beer! Just don't drive home after you drink it!
- John WJuly 9, 2014This used to be a funky old German restaurant with so-so food. Now it's a hipster's take on a funky German restaurant with okay food at a higher price.
