Look up when in the delta terminal. The ceiling looks like its decaying in several places.
If you request an @uber as you land, they usually have 1 waiting.

Kate N.April 25, 2013Be prepared to walk long distances! Worse than Ohare or Heathrow. Bring lots of $. Your flight will probably be delayed or cancelled. Unless flying international & have to leave from here, avoid JFK.
Public Address system is designed for the hard of hearing.
On Terminal 8, try the granola + light yogurt @ Europan.
If you're stuck waiting for your Jetblue flight, there are great food/drink options in terminal 5.
Rei AtirAugust 18, 2014Try avoiding it. Any other airport in the US is preferable. The immigration lines are ridiculously long.
Run out of the plane the second the door opens. Otherwise you'll be stuck in that customs line for a long time. A very, very long time.
AdleyAugust 29, 2014This airport is the real hell! Horrible queues at emigration spot! And customs officer broke the lock of our suitcase so we won't use the luggage any more!!!! Very upset!!! ;-/////

Valentin KozharskiyMay 8, 2013TSA staff is slow, unfriendly and not clever. Like service in collapsed USSR. They speak with passengers like with prisoners. This is a shame for America in common and for NYC in particular.
Don't bother with Airtrain TO this airport. MTA service changes are constant, ongoing, and impossible to decipher. You will miss your flight, I promise. However, Airtrain FROM JFK is fine.
You can't see London. You can't see France. Unless I see your underpants. Love, TSA

Flying Jetblue and have baggage? First bag always flies for FREE! Nice!
Don't go looking for terminals 3 or 6. It's 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8 only.
- Like a third world airport, only 45 minutes to clear security today. Good luck everyone
