- Rich H.October 11, 2013If you're hungry this airport has the best selection of restaurants I've ever seen at an airport.
- If you have time, stop by Garrett's and get some popcorn. A must. Get the mix!
- Sign up for wifi through your cell phone. MDW seems to not have a free wifi (except a southwest connection you need an access code for that I couldn't figure out how to determine a code as a southwest
- Andrew RailApril 22, 2013If you have more than three or four hours for a layover, hop on the orange line and hit the city. But get back at least an hour and a half before your flight since security can be slow.
- Checking into security was a breeze and I got to keep my leftover Giordano's pizza. Need a charge? They've got plugin spots.

- Lloyd MurphyJuly 20, 2013What can I say about Midway? It's like most airports in many ways. But it's so much less nightmarish than O'Hare.
- While Southwest typically charges the fare difference to standby, if your flight is delayed 15 minutes or more they can waive the difference!
- Leave early! Busy day! SWA only has 2 ticketing agents at express kiosk!
- Grab an omelette @ Harry Caray's: they compete w/ all the fancy breakfast joints in Chi & you can be in and out in less than 25 mins.
- Margot BloomsteinMarch 22, 2012Hit Pegasus on the Fly in the main food court area for terrific breakfast and great Greek hand food anytime.
- The folks that work for Southwest Airlines are the best !!!
- Dewey HollemanApril 18, 2013It's best to eat in the food court because there is little to choose from elsewhere. In bust periods there can be a shortage of gate area seating.
- If you need to charge up, follow the signs to gate A4- there's a large, hidden charging station just before the long carpeted concourse area begins.
- Ben GSeptember 2, 2014Wifi on any single Southwest plane is free and faster than the paid wifi across this entire airport.
- If you are at an A4 gate get here early. I've been at remote parking lots closer to the main terminal.
- Charles RobertsMarch 18, 2014Be careful booking early flights if you plan to take CTA as orange line train from city may not be running yet.

- Always get here early, there's always a huge security line and nothing is organized!
- Adding some new eateries here. Potbelly and Pork Chop are up and running.
- Arrive early! Major construction at Baggage Claim doors and escalators to Ticketing and Gates.
- Of you ever travel to hyde park by taxi from here, tell the driver to take the 55th street. Don't let them take the highway!
- Far right line is if you have 1 personal carry on - much shorter and moves fast. Check your bag and bypass the masses.
- Staci KramerApril 1, 2012If your gate is A 4A/B start walking 20 minutes before you think you have to & bring everything you want from main terminal.
- The security checkpoint closes from 12AM-3AM. If you're here early enough, the airport staff will give you a cot to sleep on in Terminal C.
- Ask for your bun toasted at Gild Coast Dogs and then get a beer at Lalos Mexican....yummmm!!
- If your flight leaves from gate A4A... don't be late because it is a journey to get to from TSA.

- To save time on baggage checking, go to Skycap. Way faster and worth a few bucks!
- Hands down the fastest TSA experience I have ever been through. It looks crazy, but the were impressively efficient.
- Midway security is equivalent to that of a 3rd world country. The lines are insane, and there's no organization!
- If you're traveling to downtown, best way there is on the train.
